We are all going to the circus, the Greatest Show on Earth, in Jax today.
It's not something we'd pay for, but we won four tickets yesterday on a local radio program. They were only giving away two tickets per trivia question, only one question each half hour, and you could only win once. Since she and I have different last names, we could call twice and would would each have to win in order to get four free tickets so the whole family could go.
The first question was "What is the name of the lead character in Death of a Salesman?"
I called and nearly shouted into the phone "Willy Loman!" "Yea!" shouted the kids when the show's host said "That's right.
Half an hour later came the next question: "Who was the voice of Francis the talking mule?" I hit the redial button, ran into the den and handed the phone to her telling her to say "Chill Wills." She did; we won.
We looked on Ticketmaster to see how much we had saved: nearly $60.00
And who said a good liberal education does't pay-off?
