my pov voiced

In recent weeks, when I get home from the office, empty my pockets and take off my shoes and begin to flip through channels 35 (CNN) to see if is anything blowing up or anyone important has died or been indicted, 33 (FOX NEWS) to see if there are any escaped zoo animals running through suburbs or car chases in LA, 37 (CNBC) to see if there is any Wall Street news from the day that I can understand, I am increasingly stopping on 185 (MSNBC). Two reasons: Chris Matthews and Keith Obermann.

There’s no surprise that we choose to read or watch what we generally agree with, or at least those for whom we have some respect, so I’m watching and listening to Matthews and Obermann. Certainly people select their church because of shared beliefs, and they select restaurants based on menu offerings, so why should sources of information be any different.

Last week Obermann delivered a Special Comment that was especially powerful and for me truly succeeded in nail-on-the-head expressions of my own thoughts.

Watch this Special Comment (in two parts) from May 14.
