The Dalai Lama, the 14th Dalai Lama, is 73 today.
He got to spend the first 25 years of his life in his homeland, but for all the other years he's lived nearby in India, as an exile from Tibet.
In the history of the world, there are lingering tragedies of war. Borders drawn unnaturally, cultures divided and diluted, all in the wakes and gashes cut by 20th century wars.
There is so much the world needs to simply get over, then get on with it...with the good stuff that comes through mutually beneficial cooperative alliances that serve us all and the planet.
So, China, get over this thing. Chill with Tibet and Taiwan, and move on.
