On the day of the equinox, one of the days of the year when I look to see where the sun rises and where it sets, where the shadows in the house fall, acoss which room at what angle, I ran across the Manhattanhenge phenomenon. I find this as exciting as I do each day when I notice the sun's seeming slide to the north and then to the south and back again and again and again.

It also reenforced all the reasons I so admire Neil deGrasse Tyson and would so very much like to have a cup of coffee and a conversation with him.
